From September 2026, schools in England are expected to be mobile-phone-free by default, with Scotland’s updated 2026 guidance also pushing for stronger restrictions. Pupils place their phone in their own pouch at the school gate or in registration.

The pouch locks shut. The phone stays with the pupil all day — nothing is confiscated or stored.
